Session 48, VP2

Though the trainers had surely faced foes more powerful, there was no denying that this was the most horrifying being they’d ever come across. Reinhold & Scourge leapt into action against the plague-bearer. The Komala’s hide was coated in layers of viscous slime that dripped from many open sores: both the Martial Artist & his Pokemon came away from their attacks sneering in disgust. It would take many hours of hard cleaning for them to feel clean from the foul beast’s taint.   By the time the battle was done, the Komala began to shrink back to its normal size. Wisps of pink light seeped off of its form throughout. The color pink reminded everyone uncomfortably of Gyda. Could she possibly be behind…whatever this was? There was no way of telling just yet.   Our heroes warily continued on their path after reclaiming their belongings. It didn’t take long before they reached the spot they had run into Fragna Droyma recently- in fact, some of the Dream Doctor’s belon...

Session 42, VP1

Solgaleo had been defeated, & Forgerun was on the road to recovery. Bergie, Gunnar, & Saffa were all eager to get back on the road…but Naivara felt something different. Seeing how injured Brunick had gotten while protecting the town, the Mystic’s heart had been stirred. How could she leave her crush her friend alone to recover? The others were saddened to hear this. Naivara assured them that this was only a temporary goodbye, which is when Brunick chimed in.  There had been a small amount of Solgaleo’s metal leftover after he had crafted the arm-rings. The Gym Leader had worked some into a diadem he had already been crafting: the powers in the metal should allow Naivara to warp to Bergie’s location when needed. If the remainder of the metal was kept in Forgerun, she’d be able to return just as easily. Even with this, our heroes were still leaving the town with heavy hearts. Some wild encounters helped lend them some measure of solace as they began the trek towards S...

Arc 3, Session 16, L5R

November 1118, Week 2: A Matter of Order, Continued Takeshi accepted Hida Iwa’s duel. The Crab conceded that the Lion choose the form of their combat, & did not need to wait long for an answer; Takeshi proposed a game of The Five Measures rather than a physical contest. Hida Iwa hesitated only momentarily to confirm that they were speaking of the war-game the Crab call Hida’s Shoulders .   With this agreed upon, the time had come for terms to be laid down. As the challenger Hida Iwa spoke first.   “ To the Lion, war comes & goes as a season. For the Crab, war has no end. I believe you have dishonored the duty we uphold at steep cost, so my terms are thus: there is a room in the center of this guard tower. Within it are recordings of all of the brave samurai who have laid down their lives to protect Rokugan from the Shadowlands. If I win, you will spend a day meditating in this room, memorizing the names of the fallen. ”   Takeshi seemed slightly tak...
