Bergie, Eplina, & Takeru mounted up & began riding away from Streamsford. The cover of the trees felt borderline oppressive above them. Every so often, Takeru would fish something out of his backpack in secret.   It didn’t take long before the trainers came across signs of Torveig’s passing, though they did not recognize them as such at first. In the middle of her trail, they came across a small group of wild Pokemon.   Something was wrong. The Pokemon all seemed to be in pain but were blindly attacking each other regardless. Bergie dismounted to investigate directly. He was able to calm one of the wilds enough to allow him & Eplina to study it. They appeared relatively healthy, but…their Typing had somehow been changed!   A chunk of the Pokemon had become Water types, some suffering in a melting state. Others had large portions of their bodies turned to sludgy Ground. Seeing that the other wilds were growing close to killing each other, our heroes...

Official Records, Crystal Magistrate’s Office October 20 th , 1119 The samurai of the Crystal Office returned after a prolonged absence. It is unclear what kept them so long in Shinomen Mori, but what details they have shared indicate their mission was generally a success. Would that there were time to get a full recounting. For now, we can only record that they entered Shinomen Mori on June 3 rd , & exited ton October 16 th .   It was difficult securing a force of ashigaru based on my suspicions, even one this small. If we cannot produce solid evidence within the next few days we will be forced to release them to their original standing orders.   Our research suggests that a forward party of the looming Yokai army may have taken up residence in Rengai Mura. Not sure if he heard me yell for him. We all run back out from Gilling’s Barrel and that entrance closes too. We don’t wait around to see if anyone comes out. Basil is waiting ahead for me, but Hestr doesn’t look well-- So he goes back to running further away. It's dark but we keep moving until we get far enough away that the runes stop hurting him.    It’s about dawn when the Pokemon stops ahead, exhausted. I’ve been trying to heal Lauren’s hand for the last few minutes but he tells me to take care of Hestr first. I thank the Earl, he was always my getaway plan if things got bad.
