Session 52, VP2

(These notes were written by the player for Lauren, from Lauren's POV.)   Skirlic may not believe that I am capable of murder, but I certainly thought about it as she laid against a bench. Sylvie leapt into action to assess and heal her injuries while Reinhold and I asked her who did it. She claimed it was someone in Blademill colors but didn’t see who. I told her it was likely an agent trying to stir up trouble and incite the two towns. Reinhold puzzled if it was a distraction, but I don’t think so. Ultimately, I’d target her and Ilvri to accomplish widening the rift. I asked Bronze to check in with Donner, who confirmed he hasn’t seen anyone enter or leave the camps. Thistle and Bronze both try to pick up a scent from the poison left on Skirlic but fail. It really does bring me joy to see Skirlic confused about something stupid— like “why is the short one sniffing me” levels. We look around the locker room and see the scene of the assault. Whoever it was ambushed her from ...

Session 46, VP1

The respite of the Swap Meet helped the next leg of the trek go by quickly. Though the trainers heard sounds of life in the tall grass around them, they passed through undisturbed. They could see a large mound of sorts on the horizon. Reasoning that it must be The Hive, the group set up camp for the night. It was early evening the next day when they finally arrived. Much like Stygian Falls, no settlement could be seen. All that stood before them was the large, grass-covered mound known as Skoll’s Watch. Strangely, the sunlight refused to move past the cave’s threshold, as if barred by some magic. Echoes of their recent reception at Harbinger Valley flared up. Would this be place be any better? With a sigh, Bergie took the first step into the gloom of the cave, & lit his shoulders aflame. All along the ceiling & walls, myriad bug Pokemon huddled together amicably. Bergie braced for an attack…but none came. If anything, the low drone of the bug’s wings seemed excited at the...

Arc 4, Session 20, L5R

Private Records of [ILLEGIBLE], April 4 th , 1119 In the weeks I have been stationed here in Yama no Kuyami to supervise Orakamono no rōgoku, there has been mercifully little to report. The work is tedious, but must be done to ensure the realm’s safety. As samurai, I live to serve. The remote scrying scrolls have been useful, but must be used sparingly. A few coins to various peasants & ronin have helped fill in the gaps.   Multiple clans have staked claims to mine for metal & gems: Badger, Centipede, Crane, Lion, & Mantis. None of them appear to have any knowledge of the prison’s true purpose. I am most confused at the presence of the Centipede, or lack thereof. It seems their group is only a single samurai with a few retainers- I have yet to see any evidence they are even mining. Strange, but hopefully benign. The others have been lured by promises of future wealth. Shiba willing, they may live to spend it. -----------------------------------------------------...

Arc 4, Prologue, L5R

Arc 4- 1119, Spring Mercantile business Coin can open many doors But cannot close them Otomo Kuni, nascent Crystal Champion, has been collecting & correlating reports of strange activity from across the Emerald Empire. Your Lord has prepared a few avenues of investigation she believes merit a closer look.  The floor is also open for each of you to present a potential case to the Crystal Office.  As Spring begins to blossom, take some time to debate your options before selecting what will be your first official mission. Dragon Lands Everyone knows that Dragon lands are ill-suited for farming. This makes it all the more serious whenever something threatens what little crops they do produce. While their lands are ready for the harvesting & replanting of staple foods, their farmers are not: many of them have been stricken with phantom pains & lesions, to the point where they have difficulty moving.  Apothecaries have determined that no known sickness or disease is...
