Arc 4, Session 22, L5R

Private Records of [ILLEGIBLE], April 8th , 1119 Oh, curses. It seems that somehow, one of my shikigami must have been stolen & used. No matter.   The bulk of the Crane clan's forces have begun an exodus. It seems Kakita Maru was convinced that it would be safest to limit potential casualties- a sentiment I believe to be correct. The visitors spent most of the day preparing for their sojourn into the Mantis tunnel.   When evening arrived, they marshaled together. Another puzzle door sealed the chamber from entry. This one depicted a distraught fisherman riding a raft on tumultuous waves. Around him were several fortunes to which he could pray for deliverance. Making an offering to the correct one would allow entry and...how strange. One of the incorrect choices was scratched out.    Two false guesses inflicted a form of magical intoxication on the Lion & Unicorn. A prayer made to the fortune of Earthquakes saw them able to enter a room full of warm, b...

Session 55, VP2

(These notes were written by the player for Lauren, from Lauren's POV.)   As it turns out, Talullah needed help getting away from some of the mercenaries that she had hired. She mentioned there were five of them. She didn't have their names but described them well enough to reveal that indeed, Dagn and Saga were involved, as was Oydis. Session 49, VP1

Surmounting the peaks of Skald's Echo was thankfully not as difficult as Sol's Bed or Heimdall's Gates. After an initial bit of steepness, the climb leveled out enough to make for a pleasantly bracing hike.   Early in their trek, the group ran into the phenomena that gave the mountains their name: despite seeing no other life nearby, they suddenly heard quiet, friendly voices in conversation. Takeru explained that sounds within the range was magically warped in some way. At times, you could hear things that were happening in the distance as if they were actually right beside you. Thus, it was no cause for alarm when they overheard the sounds of rocks tumbling down the slope- with no landslides to be seen.    This peace of mind betrayed them quite quickly.   Our heroes nearly lost their footing as multiple Weepinbell popped up from the soil in front of them. The pitcher plant Pokemon had plainly been planning a poison pitfall! The wilds had been lurking in burrows, co...
