Arc 5, Session 24, L5R

June 3rd, 1119   It had been less than two months since the mission into Phoenix lands. As before, the samurai were summoned to Otosan Uchi for a debriefing with the nascent Crystal Magistrate.  The samurai gathered together with their part-time master. Having gone through many records since their last meeting, Otomo Kuni was unsure of where best to apply the skill of her deputies. And so, she put the decision in their hands.  Of the various disturbances they had both seen & read of, which spoke with the most plaintive voice? Should they devote time to a road not taken- or perhaps revisit something with mysteries yet to be found? In the end, their decision was neither. Ever since the wedding of Doji Tsukiko & Daidoji Hansha, Kiyuki had been working to mend her damaged relationship with Kitsune Ryosei. When she visited in-person to deliver some letters, she had been told that the Fox Daimyo was currently searching Shinomen Mori for a lost merchant caravan. This in ...

Session 57, VP2

It did not take long for the group to reach where their maps said they would find The Hive. Strangely, no settlement stood anywhere within view. All that lay before them was a cavern, jutting above the fields. The trainers all exchanged confused glances- save Reinhold.    The hooded entrance to the cave looked strange in the sunlight. Something about his bearing gave the sense that he had perhaps seen this before. The rest of the group watched with no small amount of worry as their two friends disappeared into the blackness.   Thankfully, they did not need to wait long. Reinhold's head poked back through the veil to beckon them onwards. Passing through through the entrance caused each of the party to feel a slight tingling of go...

Session 50, VP1

The morning sun roused our heroes to a blustery day. After bidding farewell to the lumberjacks, they determined to explore the southern-most mountain of Skald’s Echo. Roughly half-way to the peak, the group heard some odd sounds coming from a rocky alcove nearby.   Investigating led them to a small group of wild Pokemon. Something was clearly wrong with the poor creatures: a fuzzy moss covered large parts of their bodies, & their eyes seemed glazed over to blindness. The sounds were from the Pokemon groaning as they bumped into their surroundings.   None of the three trainers had seen anything like this before. Bergie began to perform some basic medical checks on the patients. He was able to confirm the Pokemon were unable to see, & that the moss was not harming them directly. It almost seemed like it was adding a Grass Type to them…   Before he could follow this train of thought much further, Takeru scrubbed some of the moss away from an infected Spo...
