Session 58, VP2

Fresh runes added to their collection, our heroes decided to explore more of the wild cave system connected to the Hive. They passed a rundown shack on their way to the natural tunnels. It showed signs of relatively recent habitation, but was currently unoccupied.   Deep in the winding paths the trainers quickly found some wild Pokemon. Even to those without psychic senses, it was clear something was...off with some of the creatures. Morphada had mentioned some strange ritual her daughter had attempted to enact some weeks ago. It had begun to bind both Pokemon & humans into a connected hivemind against their will. The light pink glow to the wilds' eyes indicated there must be some lingering effects affecting the local wildlife.   This did nothing to deter the party from their wanderings- if anything, it gave them more reason to do so. Upon defeating the afflicted Pokemon, the hivemind spell dissipated, setting them free. Each subsequent fight saw them facing larger numbers...

Session 51, VP1

The dawn’s light still lingered as our heroes returned to the temple of Tyr. Though a part of Takeru hesitated to leave, the road still called. He shared a private farewell with his mother while the others packed for the journey. As the group gathered once more in the entrance hall, Hervör pointed out that a landline phone had finally been installed at the temple. Now Takeru could call home on his travels!   Descending Skald’s Echo, the party discussed their destination. Both Gunnar & Eplina were eager to return to their own hometown. Thankfully, Streamsford had already been the group’s next port of call. They rode across the Varfjell Fields once more. Though they passed Pokemon & travelers a few times, they chose not to linger on any of these encounters.   Night reigned when the trainers came upon the town within Brynhilde’s Copse. Small, mossy huts were built both on & around a still lake. Wooden kayaks & similar craft were beached along the water’s e...

Arc 5, Session 25, L5R

June 5th, 1119, Continued   The sea of battle threatened to drown the senses of the samurai. An ancient, unrecognizable stone made up the walls of the unfamiliar citadel, interlaid with ivory. Ikoma Choshi lay in a twitching heap on the floor, while one of Ych'tor'kin's arms hung like dead weight. Behind the group, Byako Ino stood next to an unfamiliar young bushi. The man had his hands pressed against what appeared to be a giant pearl, nearly as large as he was.   Thankfully, years of training saw each of our heroes muscles respond quickly to the situation. Though it tore his heart, Takeshi forced himself to focus on ending the threat before seeing to his protege. She surprised him then: using the last bit of her strength, she made a final swing of her no-dachi at the Naga facing her teacher. She slumped unconscious after.   Yudai & Megumi worked their trade upon the forces surrounding them. The Unicorn's scimitar clashed with one of Naga make as the Crab swung his...
