Session 38.5, VP1

While the group had been discussing how to proceed, Gunnar & Saffa seemed a bit off. The Juggler was packing up her tent & bags during the talk, & her cheeks seemed quite red. Gunnar's belongings were already socked away. Though his cheeks were not red, he gave off a general air of worry.

At the first lull of silence, he spoke up. While the others had been checking out the farm, Lauren had reached out to Gunner via the Pokedex. The Martial Artist didn't have too many details, but apparently Forgerun was in no small amount of trouble.

Some powerful legendary, Solgaleo, had been causing havoc in the area. Brunick was currently badly stricken from a supernatural burn. To protect the town, Lauren & their friends were prepping to confront the beast to drive it off. Our heroes all felt Gunnar's anxiety spreading like a sickness.

Their thoughts went back to Drillsberg, thinking of how they likely would not have been able to save the town without the other group's help. Add to that their friendship for Brunick, & they decided they needed to rush to lend aid.

Saddling up on their various mounts, the trainers spoke with Vern regarding their surprise departure. The Seeder Grove native volunteered to watch over Saffa's land while the group went where they were needed. He wished them good luck & safety in a sincere voice, whispering a prayer to his goddess as they took off at a gallop......

Not sure if he heard me yell for him. We all run back out from Gilling’s Barrel and that entrance closes too. We don’t wait around to see if anyone comes out. Basil is waiting ahead for me, but Hestr doesn’t look well-- So he goes back to running further away. It's dark but we keep moving until we get far enough away that the runes stop hurting him.    It’s about dawn when the Pokemon stops ahead, exhausted. I’ve been trying to heal Lauren’s hand for the last few minutes but he tells me to take care of Hestr first. I thank the Earl, he was always my getaway plan if things got bad. Session 48, VP1

Another Gym Rune had been added to the trainers’ growing legend. At dinner that evening, several townsfolk begrudgingly complimented Takeru on his newly-displayed battle skills.    Gunnar spoke with Morphada about Ingeborg; some of the citizens had been convinced to reconsider the term of exile. Takeru had also suggested the possibility of bringing Ingeborg along with the group, though Bergie seemed very hesitant to do so. Morphada was grateful for our heroes’ consideration, & said they could discuss it further come morning.   Breakfast the next day was full of one of Morphada’s typical honey-glazed delicacies- only, this time, everyone present was thoroughly enjoying them. Rather than drowning something in honey, she had instead lightly-glazed bacon strips. Private Records of [ILLEGIBLE], April 4 th , 1119 In the weeks I have been stationed here in Yama no Kuyami to supervise Orakamono no rōgoku, there has been mercifully little to report. The work is tedious, but must be done to ensure the realm’s safety. As samurai, I live to serve. The remote scrying scrolls have been useful, but must be used sparingly. A few coins to various peasants & ronin have helped fill in the gaps.   Multiple clans have staked claims to mine for metal & gems: Badger, Centipede, Crane, Lion, & Mantis. None of them appear to have any knowledge of the prison’s true purpose. I am most confused at the presence of the Centipede, or lack thereof. It seems their group is only a single samurai with a few retainers- I have yet to see any evidence they are even mining. Strange, but hopefully benign.
